Following an investigation, authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Middle Island on Thursday, March 28.

Suffolk County Police detectives arrested Brian Kazmierowski, age 35, of Middle Island, at 6:15 p.m. Friday, April 5, for exchanging material using a peer-to-peer file-sharing system.

Kazmierowski was charged with:

  • Possessing a sexual performance by a child, a Class E felony,
  • Promoting the sexual performance by a child, a Class D felony. 

He was held overnight at the Suffolk County PD Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, April 6.

Detectives from the Suffolk County PD Digital Forensics Unit, along with officers from the Suffolk County PD Canine Section and Seventh Precinct, and agents from Homeland Security executed the search warrant
